How To Spell Over a Telephone
Why is This so Important?
People often sit for long Periods trying to spell something over a telephone thinking that other people can hear or understand. Often Both Parties Start getting Frustrated through this spelling process. You often See this on game shows and more often dealing with this in the Business Sector.
What I don't understand is Why is this not even taught at a school level or in any Level of Education this should be taught as part of a telecommunication skill.
We are living in an age of electronic communication. Telephone lines are not always clear B's Sound Like D's, F Sounds Like S. T's sound Like P's and so on.
Just because you hear what you spelling to the person on the other end, does not mean they can. So why is it so hard to make this, part of your own knowledge base? Take the time and learn it for your own benefit.
It Really is not hard to Learn, make the telecommunication world a better place especially on e-mails. No e-mail can reach the correct person if spelled wrongly its like a telephone number add one number wrong to a telephone number and there... you got through to the wrong person.
So Please we urge the world to get to know this. The Telephone has been around Since 1876. So for about 133 years people still can't make themselves clear over this device while spelling, that is a bit sad I think. I urge everyone to make a small effort and make yourself understood. Speak Slow and Clear it takes less time than speaking fast and unclear and having to repeat yourself over and over. Don't try and make up your own words while spelling, it takes long as well to try and think of something.
No, People! The correct format was implemented many decades ago for a reason, it is used by The Military, the Law enforcement and Aviation industry, because it works!!.... why try and be different?
